Together we can Help the Homeless
What Can I Do?
Together with The Hartford Police Department, we can help the homeless stay warm.
Together with The Hartford Police Department, we can help the homeless stay warm.
There are now over 1,000 homeless citizens in the Hartford area alone, including, men, women, children and veterans who have served our country. With the cold weather approaching and with the persistent impact of the Corona-19 Virus on our lives, causing loss of jobs and homes, the homeless population is growing.
We are working in conjunction with Officer Jimmy Barrett of The Hartford Police Department. As Outreach Officer for the homeless and displaced individuals in Hartford, he recently informed us, “there is a desperate need for sleeping bags for those homeless people, who are forced to sleep in parks, under bridges, and in the woods.”
If anyone has gently used sleeping bags, that you would like to donate, please contact us at 860-614-0594. We will be more than happy to pick up the donations. We appreciate your generosity and your help in meeting this critical need for those less fortunate. God Bless you all.
Thank you,
Phillippia & Sasha, Fellow Parishioners
